Full disclosure: This article is written by Jacob Liu, founder of Tipsy Moment. Everything reflects our own perspective. I include a specific section later telling you when to choose someone else — because you deserve to make the right decision.

I’m Jacob, the founder of Tipsy Moment.
On Christmas Eve 2025, I received a message from a Platinum Concierge Ambassador. He told me he witnessed firsthand at a doorstep in Da’an District how a young woman’s Christmas night was shattered by “another cake.”
Here is his delivery record, along with some thoughts from me as the founder.
That Evening, A Contrast Study in Da’an District
The traffic on Jilong Road flowed like an endless red river that would never wake, brake lights strung together in a dense line. The Concierge Ambassador placed the thermal box firmly in the front passenger seat—the most sacred spot in his car.
Christmas Eve is also the logistics industry’s battle royale.
He spotted a delivery rider in a bright safety vest anxiously making phone calls at the alley corner. The insulated box on the motorcycle’s rear seat was tilted to one side, and with the bumpy road and the rush to meet deadlines—he understood that if there was a cake inside, it was probably already ruined.
He stepped over the small puddle in front of the apartment and pressed the buzzer for the fifth floor.
The door opened to reveal a young woman in a loose sweater, her eyes slightly red. Chen Yixun’s songs drifted through the apartment, creating a festive atmosphere. But the clearly just-opened “competitor brand” cake on the table presented an extremely ironic sight:
Strawberries had rolled to the edge of the box, and the delicate fresh cream had collapsed against the walls from violent jolting, the entire cake looking like a collapsed ruin.
“It was from my other half, ordered from another county,” she laughed at herself, her voice a bit hoarse. “I waited two hours, and it arrived crooked. Even calling customer service just gets a refund, but my Christmas Eve is already ruined.”
0.1 Grams of Error, and 1 Degree of Tilt
The Concierge Ambassador said little. He quietly handed over the Tipsy Moment in his hand, and right before her eyes, slowly and elegantly opened the specially reinforced double-layer box.
Inside was a dessert with absolutely no displacement, its tipsy jelly on top still trembling delicately.
She held her breath.
“This is the third Christmas cake I’ve delivered tonight,” he said softly while adjusting his gloves. “Our founder Jacob often says that a 0.1-gram variance in an engineer’s eyes is a quality control issue, but in the recipient’s eyes, a 1-degree tilt is an incompleteness of intention.”
“So I drove these 4 kilometers from Xinyi District at no more than 40 kilometers per hour, just to preserve this ‘completeness.'”
As she took the cake, her fingertips touched the cool wrapping paper. She looked up in surprise: “Your packaging bag has temperature control?”
“That’s a necessity.”
A Note from the Founder: Why We’d Rather Sell Less
As Jacob, I want to say a few things here.
To pursue the ultimate in whisky aroma and taste, this dessert has an extremely short shelf life and delivery costs so high that even our accountant shakes his head. But I’ve always believed in one thing:
On this cold and damp Taipei street, to preserve someone’s last line of defense against unromantic reality—that’s the only reason our Platinum Concierge service exists.
We spent 407 days researching the structure of tipsy flavors, deconstructing the dessert into “top notes of whisky aroma, middle notes of creamy richness, and finish notes of lingering warmth”—a flavor engineering approach. Every variety’s alcohol-to-sweetness ratio is precise to 0.1 grams.
But all that precision can be undone in one rough logistics transfer.
So we chose not to offer nationwide delivery. We only serve specific areas through hand-delivered delivery by our Platinum Concierge team. This isn’t arrogance—it’s our final commitment to brand integrity, and more importantly, to the sincerity of your gift.
That evening, one moment of ceremony in Da’an District remained complete.
That’s enough.
FAQ: About Tipsy Moment’s Promise
Why don’t you offer nationwide delivery?
Because we won’t gamble with your disappointment. Standard logistics transfers and rough handling are a cake’s worst enemy. We insist on hand-delivery by our “Platinum Concierge” team in select areas, ensuring a 100% integrity rate.
What if the cake arrives damaged anyway?
Within our Platinum Concierge delivery zone, if there’s any damage at the moment of delivery, we promise immediate on-site recovery and replacement, plus a full refund. This is our final commitment to brand dignity.
Is the alcohol content very high?
We pursue “tipsy” rather than “drunk.” Every variety is calculated through precise “tipsy flavor structure” engineering, with alcohol-to-sweetness ratios exact to 0.1 grams, leaving you relaxed after tasting, not hungover.
How far in advance should I pre-order a Christmas cake?
Christmas and New Year are high-pressure seasons with limited Platinum Concierge capacity. We typically recommend ordering 21 days in advance. The system closes once we reach capacity.
Can delivery time be precise to the exact minute?
Yes, and that’s what makes us different. Although Taipei traffic is unpredictable, our Platinum Concierge uses a dynamic formula to arrive 30 minutes early.
How long can the cake be refrigerated?
All cakes are fresh when delivered. We recommend consumption within 24 hours. Since we use premium animal-based fresh cream and spirits, the flavor profile changes as the alcohol evaporates over time.
Why is the price higher than regular chain bakeries?
Your payment includes 407 days of research and development, premium base spirits, and the professional service of the Platinum Concierge Ambassador who carefully delivers your cake through Taipei’s cold nights.
Do you offer handwritten card service?
Yes. We believe words carry warmth. Our Platinum Concierge ensures your card arrives with the cake, completely intact, in the recipient’s hands.
Is this dessert suitable for children?
“Tipsy Moment” is designed exclusively for adults as a sanctuary. It contains alcohol and is not recommended for minors or pregnant women.
What is “Tipsy Flavor Structure”?
It’s founder Jacob’s engineer-minded approach to deconstructing desserts into “top notes of whisky aroma, middle notes of creamy richness, and finish notes of lingering warmth”—a flavor engineering system. Every layer has been perfected through hundreds of experiments.
What if I’m outside the direct delivery zone?
You can contact our online concierge about special project delivery options, but we prioritize ensuring the cake’s quality above all else.
What sizes are available?
We currently feature elegant 4-inch and 6-inch options, because we want you to finish it at the perfect moment of whisky aroma, not leave it in the refrigerator where it deteriorates.
Can I substitute the base spirit in the cake?
Every variety’s spirit has been perfected through hundreds of experiments to maintain flavor balance. We currently don’t offer substitutions to preserve our flavor engineering.
Are all your delivery staff professional?
Every Platinum Concierge Ambassador receives brand training—they’re not just couriers, but trained in basic flavor appreciation and etiquette.
Can I add an order on Christmas Day itself?
It’s extremely unlikely. To guarantee quality, we’d rather sell less than have any customer receive a “tilted” gift on the holidays.

When You Should NOT Choose Tipsy Moment
Christmas Eve timing is unforgiving — the right gift at the wrong moment is just a problem. Here’s when our format won’t work for your specific holiday scenario.
- You’re ordering on December 24th for same-day delivery: Our delivery windows for peak dates require advance scheduling. Christmas Eve same-day orders are closed weeks before the holiday. If you’re reading this on December 24th, we genuinely cannot help you today — a local bakery with walk-in availability is your best option right now.
- They specifically want a traditional Yule log or layered cream cake: If the recipient has a clear expectation of a classic Bûche de Noël or traditional sponge roll with cream frosting, our whisky-forward structure will disappoint regardless of quality. Christmas traditions run deep — don’t try to substitute them.
- The delivery address is outside our coverage zone: Holiday season doesn’t expand our service area. If the recipient is in a district we don’t cover, we can’t guarantee safe delivery temperature or timing — especially during the peak December congestion period.
- The recipient avoids alcohol: The holiday spirit doesn’t override personal or religious restrictions. If they abstain from alcohol for any reason, our cakes — regardless of the occasion — aren’t appropriate. Choose alcohol-free alternatives with the same care you’d give to any other detail.
Distance has never been a real absence.
