Full disclosure: This article is written by Jacob Liu, founder of Tipsy Moment. Everything reflects our own perspective. I include a specific section later telling you when to choose someone else — because you deserve to make the right decision.

The rain in Taipei never shows mercy.
At four in the afternoon, the sky hung heavy as a wrung-out wet cloth, and the sticky humidity clung to my shirt against my back. I adjusted my white gloves, confirming that the leveling gauge in the temperature-controlled delivery box remained perfectly balanced—any deviation beyond 3 degrees and I’d need to recalibrate.
What’s in the box today is no ordinary dessert.
It’s ten years, entrusted to me by Mr. Wang.
A downpour. A promise that can never be redone.
Traffic on the Jianguo Elevated Road slowed under the sudden downpour. The windshield wipers moved mechanically, their rhythmic squeaks marking time. I sheltered this red wine and white chocolate “Moment in Time” cake, calculating my arrival window.
100% punctual delivery—that’s our line in the sand.
On a day like this, five minutes late and an hour late are no different—both dishonor the promise. This isn’t obsession. It’s a conclusion drawn after 407 days of testing: anniversary surprises have zero tolerance for error.
As I reached the narrow alley in Da’an District, the rain had just begun to ease. The asphalt exhaled a damp, earthy scent. I pressed the doorbell.
Those three seconds when her eyes glistened
The door opened to reveal a woman in casual home clothes, clearly not expecting visitors. Her face bore a hint of fatigue, her eyes saying “another package, probably.”
“Good afternoon. This is Tipsy Moment’s Platinum Concierge service. Mr. Wang has arranged a tenth anniversary surprise for you.”
As I presented the deep-navy gift box with both hands and offered the handwritten card, I watched her expression transform:
Confusion → Stillness → Eyes glistening within three seconds.
It was genuine emotion, unfiltered. Even through my mask, I felt the tremor in her breath.
Mr. Wang was away on business. But I knew that when this cake—fusing aged red wine’s sophisticated warmth with premium white chocolate’s silken smoothness—reached her hands, the ten years of distance would dissolve.
The flavor architecture of our “Moment in Time”
As a pastry innovator with an engineering background, I approach flavor design with intentional structure. This red wine and white chocolate creation is our thoughtfully-crafted “tipsy structure” designed for enduring love:
- White chocolate’s sweetness captures the purity and flutter of first meetings
- Red wine essence at its heart, controlled within 0.1g precision, represents the depth and complexity that time has matured
It lacks whisky’s wild intensity, yet carries red wine’s distinctive grace—elegance distilled into the soul.
The opening is white chocolate’s lightness. The heart is wine-kissed cake’s subtle moisture. The finish is a gentle, lingering warmth—the layering a fine dessert deserves.
⚠️ Important Note: Temperature Sensitivity
Due to the elevated aging red wine content and the delicate nature of our white chocolate mousse, this cake is quite temperature sensitive.
Serving recommendations:
- If you cannot enjoy it within an hour of receiving, please refrigerate immediately
- Remove 30 minutes before serving to bring to proper temperature—this allows the wine’s essence to truly “awaken” on your palate
- Refrigerated storage: 7 days. Frozen storage: 14 days.
As I left, Taipei’s rain had stopped
As I descended from the building, streetlights were just flickering on, their reflections in the pooled rain like scattered starlight.
I said little more. The concierge’s role is to become invisible—a bridge connecting the sender’s intention with the recipient’s emotion.
Mission complete.
This is why I insist on personal delivery. Not for convenience, but because some things cannot be delivered by machine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What’s the difference between Platinum Concierge personal delivery and standard shipping?
We refuse third-party logistics. Every cake is personally escorted by a trained concierge specialist, ensuring zero displacement, no damage, and a ceremonial delivery experience. You’re not just purchasing a cake—you’re purchasing “that moment.”
Q2: Will the red wine flavor be too strong?
It’s an “elegant” tipsy style. The red wine’s fruit notes and tannins are enveloped in white chocolate’s creamy richness—layered alcohol notes without harshness. Perfect for those seeking sophistication without intensity.
Q3: Which option do you recommend for a tenth anniversary?
We suggest “Plan B: Classic Tipsy” or higher. Includes real-time video connection with your concierge and a personally handwritten card, letting you share the emotional moment even from afar.
Q4: What if bad weather or traffic causes a delay?
We guarantee 100% punctuality. Should we be late due to our own logistics error, we offer a full refund. This is our commitment to “zero anniversary failures.”
Q5: Should I refrigerate or freeze the cake?
Our delivery maintains constant 0-4°C temperature. We recommend refrigerating for up to 7 days, or freezing for up to 14 days.
Q6: Can you arrange to deliver other gifts alongside the cake?
Absolutely. Plans B and C include “gift sourcing and delivery” services—any items within a 30-minute radius can be consolidated into one delivery.
Q7: Which regions do you serve?
We currently offer personal concierge delivery across Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, and Taichung.
Q8: Would this cake work for a proposal?
Beautifully so. We’ve orchestrated “Plan C: Premier Ceremony” proposals, coordinating with our concierge’s curated florals to create profoundly romantic moments.
Q9: Will my card message be seen by the concierge?
Our concierges sign strict confidentiality agreements. Your message remains private, between you and your recipient alone.
Q10: Is this suitable for vegetarians?
This product contains gelatin and alcohol, so it’s not recommended for strict vegetarians.
Q11: Can pregnant women or children eat this?
While some alcohol evaporates during preparation, a meaningful concentration remains. We recommend pregnant women and young children avoid this dessert.
Q12: Do you offer other spirit bases besides red wine?
Yes. We also craft “Tipsy Science” cakes with peaty whisky, cognac, and other sophisticated base notes.
Q13: Can you handle rush orders?
We operate by reservation, though rush orders can sometimes be accommodated directly.
Q14: Why is your cake more expensive than others?
You’re investing in more than premium ingredients. You’re purchasing 407 days of research into our “zero-failure personal delivery system” and “unrepeatable moment insurance.” Some things simply cannot be discounted.

When You Should NOT Choose Tipsy Moment
A tenth anniversary is too specific a milestone to get wrong. Here’s when our format doesn’t match the moment you’re trying to create — better to know before you order.
- The celebration involves 10+ guests sharing the same cake: A decade milestone often means a table full of people — family, friends, colleagues. Our cakes are designed for intimate delivery to a specific recipient, not to be sliced across a large gathering. If you need enough portions for a celebration dinner, a traditional celebration cake format will serve the occasion better.
- The gesture is meant to be a public grand moment: Ten years is sometimes celebrated with a large proposal-style gesture, a surprise in front of a group, or a reveal with an audience. Our delivery format is private, precise, and personal — not theatrical. If the scenario calls for dramatic presentation, our concierge approach won’t match the energy of the moment.
- Your partner has a strictly classic taste in desserts: If ten years together have made clear that they only eat traditional flavors — vanilla sponge, simple cream, familiar textures — our whisky and champagne mousse structure introduces complexity they haven’t asked for. A milestone gift should reflect what they actually love, not what seems appropriately elevated.
- The delivery window doesn’t align with your planned moment: Anniversary surprises often have precise timing — the exact moment of arrival, a coordinated reveal. If your celebration timeline requires delivery outside our available windows, forcing the logistics will undermine the gesture. Confirm the delivery slot before you commit to the plan.
Ten years deserve a moment she will never forget.
